How to apply for a Loan

It is important that you follow the checklist below. This will ensure the fastest approval and turn around time. Please understand that it is necessary to provide all financial statements in addition to signed copies of tax returns.

For Individual Borrowers and/or Co-Borrowers:

  • Complete, sign and date the Loan Application and Personal Financial Statement.
  • Provide previous two years of federal income tax returns, including all schedules and attachments.
  • Provide the two most recent pay stubs.
  • Provide an Aircraft Spec Sheet, listing total time on airframe, engine(s) and prop(s), avionic listing, types and dates of any upgrades, etc.
  • Provide a signed Aircraft purchase agreement, if applicable.
  • Provide contact information to the Seller or Dealer/Broker.

For C or S Corporations or Limited Liability Companies:

  • The Articles of Incorporation and Corporate Charter or Articles of Organization and Operating Agreement.
  • Provide previous two years corporate financial statements.
  • Previous two years federal income tax returns, including all schedules and attachments.
  • Provide an Aircraft Spec Sheet, listing total time on airframe, engine(s) and prop(s), avionic listing, types and dates of any upgrades, etc.
  • Provide a signed Aircraft purchase agreement, if applicable.
  • Provide contact information to the Seller or Dealer/Broker.
  • The Principal or Principals of the Borrowing entity is/are typically required to Personally Guaranty, as well as supply the individual information listed above for Individual/Co-Borrower.

For Partnerships:

  • Partnership Agreement
  • Previous two years partnership tax returns with all schedules.
  • Provide an Aircraft Spec Sheet, listing total time on airframe, engine(s) and prop(s), avionic listing, types and dates of any upgrades, etc.
  • Provide a signed Aircraft purchase agreement, if applicable.
  • Provide contact information to the Seller or Dealer/Broker.
  • All Partners are typically required to Personally Guaranty, as well as supply the individual information listed above for Individual/Co-Borrower.

Approval and Loan Closing Process

  • Loan application package is returned, completed and signed, to AeroBank via mail or fax; the package of information is processed and presented for the most competitive rates and flexible terms.
  • If approved, AeroBank orders the title search and arranges to pay off all lien-holders or clear any clouds.
  • Loan documents are prepared and sent to the Borrower for review and signature(s); upon return, the original signed documents are presented for funding.
  • The loan is then funded via wire transfer, Bank Money Order/Cashier's Check or through a Title Company Escrow and FAA documents are recorded.
  • A copy of all recorded title documents and post filing title searches are provided to the Borrower.
